This is compilation of all public welfare schemes implemented by the Government of Tamil Nadu. Some of the following projects are being implemented with the assistance of the Central Government.
Most of the projects are based entirely on the financial assistance of the Government of Tamil Nadu.
These programs are implemented for the benefit of children, women, the underprivileged and farmers. These schemes of the Government of Tamil Nadu seek to enrich key sectors such as health, habitat management and education.
Some schemes are grant schemes and others are direct cash assistance schemes.
TN GOVERNMENT SCHEMES FOR WOMEN 2022
There are some women's welfare schemes implemented by the Government of Tamil Nadu with the objective of providing loans to women, nurturing education, helping them to start a business and helping them to get loans.

1. SPECIAL LITERACY PROGRAM FOR WOMEN:
Purpose of the project: To help uneducated women in backward districts across Tamil Nadu.
Eligibility: Women aged 15 to 35 years.
How to apply: Details can be obtained by meeting the District Collector, District Education Officer, District Senior Education Officer in person.
Duration: The duration of this scheme is 6 months
2. ADDITIONAL CAPITAL SUBSIDY FOR WOMEN SC/ST DIFFERENTLY-ABLED AND TRANSGENDER.
Purpose of the project: To assist agro-based entrepreneurs
Eligibility: No qualification required
How to apply: Further details are available at GM-DIC / RJD-CHENNAI / TIIC within one year of commencement of production.
Duration: The scheme was launched in May 2012 and is in operation till date.
3. TAMILNADU GOVERNMENT SCHEME FOR GIRL CHILD.
There are some schemes in Tamil Nadu to help girls and most of them are to promote the education of girls and provide them with free and educational assistance.
Annal Gandhi Memorial award: A student in each district of TN who gets the first mark in 12th standard and belongs to Adithravita class is given assistance to continue their studies.
Purpose: To provide scholarships and incentives to Adithravita students
Eligibility: 8 to 14 years
How to apply: Director of Adi dravidar welfare Chennai-5 through the education institutions.
Duration: 6 months
4. TAMIL NADU GOVERNMENT SCHEME FOR WOMEN
The scheme was launched in order to provide marriage assistance to destitute women. Unsupported women in all districts of Tamil Nadu can apply for this.
Benefits: A cheque for Rs 15,000 will be given to women for wedding expenses.
Eligibility: Annual income should be 1,20,000.
Age: Must be between 18 and 30
How to apply: Applications should be submitted to the District Social Welfare Officer / Extension Officer.
5. WIDOW PENSION SCHEME IN TAMILNADU
The scheme is being implemented to provide financial assistance of one thousand rupees per month to destitute widows. The widow certificate also provides job placement for women in Tamil Nadu government jobs.
Eligibility: No age limit, no son over 18 years of age, should not own house/ land, no monthly income
How to apply: All the certificates required to avail of this scheme should be submitted to the District Collector.

6. TAMIL NADU GOVERNMENT SCHEME FOR PREGNANT LADIES
Tamil Nadu govt. has started distributing Amma Maternity Nutrition Kit under Dr. Muthulakshmi Maternity Benefit Scheme for pregnant women.
TAMIL NADU AMMA MATERNITY NUTRITION KIT SCHEME:
Launched in 2015, the scheme has so far benefited 17 lakh women.
This scheme is called Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy Maternity Financial Assistance Scheme
Benefits: The Government of Tamil Nadu provides Rs.18,000 as financial assistance to pregnant women. This includes 4,000 health kit. This health kit is offered twice. Will be given at 12th and 16th week of pregnancy.
Eligibility: Pregnant women. Those born before 2019 will not be able to apply.
How to apply: You can contact the nurse at the primary health center in person.
Duration: 3 months to 12 months.
